The original 2003 film won hearts around the world and was nominated for Best Animated Feature Film at the 2003 Academy Awards. In Finding Dory, you will get to know a whole new cast of characters from the delightful inhabitants of the ocean including Dory, a blue tang fish who lost her memory and is going on an undersea adventure to find it again. You'll also get to know Bailey, a beluga whale who helps Dory find her family. The film opens with a voice-over from Dory explaining how she got lost in a small seaside town and ended up at the Marine Life Institute under the care of Dr. Sherman (Ed O'Neill). He tells her about the many different species of fish in the institute's aquariums. In order to return home, Dory must find each one of them and learn what she missed while she was away. While he has been doing all he can to care for Dory, Dr. Sherman starts to wonder if she will ever get her memory back - or even if she will be okay without it. Dory's adventure begins when a whale named Destiny suddenly appears in the institute's large tank and asks a lot of questions about Dr. Sherman and Dory, which puzzles the doctor. Destiny then introduces herself to Dory and offers her a ride home on her great white shark, Bailey, whom they have never met before. When Dr. Sherman learns that Dory has left the aquarium, he immediately sends Nemo and Marlin to find her and bring her back home. They end up getting lost and end up on a dangerous reef where Nemo is bitten by a stingray, loses his tail fin and Marlin is captured by a crab. Meanwhile, Dory is eager to find Griffin the sea turtle (played by Albert Brooks) and make friends with him. She even meets his family, but they don't remember her because she was too young when she lived there before. After making friends with several other fish in the reef, Dory ends up with her memory back and is reunited with Dr. Sherman and the rest of the crew at the marine institute aquariums. cfa1e77820
